to high-quality stock photography for rock climbing.
The photographer, Greg Epperson, was born in Keneytra, Morocco and grew
up in San Diego, California. Greg started his passion for climbing and
photographing climbing in Southern California over 35 years ago.
Greg's climbing background gives him a solid base as an expert rigger that directly translates into his ability to use ropes and jumars to reach unique shooting positions of his subjects. His rigging and set up skills allow him to move freely along side or above the climbers being photographed, giving not only an accurate portrayal of the action, but action photos unrivaled in the genre.
His 30-year career includes shooting editorially and for stock, contributing to all of the domestic and international climbing magazines, and supplying one
of a kind images to the major outdoor gear companies. Greg's work is represented by several stock agencies including the prestigious stock photo agency Getty Images.
Far flung locations captured by Greg and his camera include Iceland, Madagascar, The Torres del Paine in Southern Chile, Easter Island, The Cirque of the Unclimbables in the Northwest Territories of Canada, Yosemite's El Capitan and Half Dome and the mud spires of Utah's Fisher Towers. Each area is represented throughout the various galleries.
